Jim Philogene,
My name is Jim (DJ Stikki) and I have been in music for as long as I have known myself. Growing up on the Island of St. Lucia in the West Indies, I was a DJ at 2 of the major night clubs and helped out on the FM radio station (RCI) on Saturday afternoons. But I wanted to do more with my love for music which lead me to move to Canada in 1989.

In Canada, I started by being a DJ at a local bar in Pickering (O’Tooles) then moved to Toronto and continued DJing at different nightclubs and private venues. I also did some work with Toronto Radio Stations including Q107, CHUM FM, CHFI 98.1, KISS 92.5 and Mix 99.9 (Now Virgin Radio).

I also studied music at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto and had private tutoring to learn to play music by ear. Then got into music production and own a recording studio up until 2015.

With all the music knowledge from production to radio, I decided to join RJL Radio to produce and host The Stikki Mix Show. The show is broadcasted live every Friday from 6pm to 8pm E.S.T and re-broadcasted on Tuesdays from 12noon to 2pm E.S.T. RJL Radio now being listened to worldwide and have a consistent listener base of about 10,000 and growing. The Stikki Mix Show is currently the only internet radio show in the Oakville/Burlington area. We play a wide variety of music from Motown to Rock to Reggae.

What the future holds, we don’t know for sure but I am going to endevour everyday to make Stikki Radio your kick off to the weekend.

We at Stikki Radio, continue to work hard at finding the right balance of music and relevant information to keep you entertained and informed. That is why we continue to develop themes that will keep the show interesting and create a memorable moment for you.

You are our most valuable asset so please do not hesitate to let us know how we can make Stikki Radio better. I believe that there is always room for improvement. We look forward to a long and enjoyable relationship!
